We are on this! radical!
This has been a great week, lots of good news for everyone! and we have some too!
We are fucking jazzed and excited to announce that our good friend DJ Scully, who you may know from his badass band Dead Empires, is joining Black Table as our new bassist!
He met all our criteria - besides the beard requirement, he is a skilled bassist and an awesome dude we can’t wait to play shows and tour with! We are working on our new album with 7 songs so far and we know DJ is going to complete the record.
Seriously can’t wait to hear what the final album will sound like!
Welcome to the cult brother!
Matt was an important part to our sound and made us unique in many ways, but we are parting ways as priorities change and evolve. We wish him all the best and we will always admire and respect his work as a musician. We were lucky to work with him and it’s not going to be easy to find someone to replace such a unique musician.
Check out Choochland - the photography of Dean Chooch Landry. I love Dean’s work, it has a narrative, every object and subject seem to belong to another, every scene is perfect. You forget its just a photo and get lost in the details. Some of his work reminds me of Norman Rockwell, with the muted tones and picturesque images of every day life in Harlem, Brooklyn and NYC.
He’s had a few shows of his work and has done band portraits for Meek is Murder, Today is the Day and more. He is also a fucking awesome guitarist in the Brooklyn band Tiger Flowers. Enjoy his blog and get him to do your band pics!
We love Dean! and this photo rocks!!
